Wairegi* from Nairobi, Kenya suffered violence in his family. His father used to beat him badly and Wairegi started to face the long term consequences until he felt suicidal. At SOS Children’s Village family strengthening, Wairegi found Josephine Rombo, a community development worker and trained counsellor. who started to help him deal with his emotions and suffering.
The video was done in a highly participatory way to protect Wairegi’s identity and to ensure sensitive issues are properly reflected.
